Your Facilitator and Ceremonial Guide

Dina Maayan is a globally respected Human Optimization Expert, CHEK Holistic Health Practitioner, and Founder of the Breath of Life Institute—an advanced training platform specializing in breathwork for nervous system regulation, cognitive enhancement, and emotional resilience.

With over a decade at the forefront of integrative health and high performance, Dina equips individuals, leaders, and teams with the tools to unlock their genius, expand physical vitality, and cultivate sustainable resilience. Her signature methodology blends the rigor of neuroscience with the depth of ancient breath traditions—offering a precise, multidimensional approach to optimizing the human system.

Dina’s journey began at age six, when she discovered breathwork as a lifeline through early anxiety. That experience sparked a lifelong dedication to understanding the intricate relationship between breath, emotion, and performance. Her method—rooted in evidence-based physiology and somatic intelligence—helps clients regulate stress, heighten mental clarity, and access expanded states of creativity and presence.

Based in Hawai‘i for 11 years, she also brings a grounded connection to the land and ocean, having supported coral reef restoration and local environmental initiatives. Her retreats and trainings are designed with integrity and cultural respect, in collaboration with Native Hawaiian educators.

Meet Jason Nemer

Movement Facilitator, Acroyoga and Aquatic Bodyworker

Jason Nemer is a world-champion acrobat and the Co-Founder of AcroYoga. Jason’s work was featured in New York Times Bestselling author Tim Ferriss’ book, Tools of Titans.

He has coached Google Co-Founder Sergey Brin, actress Ashley Judd, and many other top performers. Jason has also brought AcroYoga’s team-building methods to companies like Google, FourSigmatic, Summit Series and TrueX.

By age 16 he had won silver and bronze medals at the World Championships of Sports Acrobatics. At 21 he realized his dream of performing at the Olympic Games. When he discovered yoga and Thai massage, he began fusing the key elements that would one day become this global practice.

Since then Jason has dedicated his life to uniting communities through the power of AcroYoga. His motivation is rooted in the belief that through fun and connection, AcroYoga can empower all people no matter their ability, age, race or background.

FAQ — Whale Retreat in Kona

  • The retreat is located on the Big Island of Hawai‘i, in Kona. You will fly into Kona Airport (KOA). We’ll stay in a private retreat home 7 miles from the ocean. Exact address and travel instructions will be provided after registration.

    • 3 private whale-watching boat trips during peak migration season

    • 1 professional bodywork session per guest

    • Cultural lessons with a Kumu

    • Aquatic bodywork and Watsu

    • Daily movement, breathwork, and music-based sessions

    • Guided visit to Volcanoes National Park

    • Time at the beach and downtime to rest

    • All meals – chef-prepared, locally sourced, and mostly organic

    • 6 nights accommodations in a shared or private room

    • Flights to/from Kona International Airport (KOA)

    • Optional excursions or additional 1-on-1 sessions

  • This is a small group retreat, limited to 10–14 guests to maintain a relaxed, personalized experience.

  • Yes. Many participants come on their own. You'll be paired in a shared room unless you request a private room or master bedroom upgrade.

  • Rooms are either shared (2 people per room) or private (upgrade fee applies). All rooms are clean, comfortable, and close to shared spaces and the ocean

  • Our private chef will prepare farm-to-table meals using fresh, local ingredients. Meals will be balanced, nourishing, and mostly organic. We can accommodate most dietary preferences with advance notice.

  • This retreat is designed to be balanced. Expect a mix of scheduled experiences (like whale trips and group sessions) along with plenty of time to relax, explore, or enjoy quiet moments.

  • Aquatic bodywork is a gentle, guided therapy performed in warm water. It supports deep relaxation and helps release tension in the body. It’s optional and adapted to your comfort level.

  • All whale boat charters are operated by licensed, local guides who follow strict marine life protection guidelines. We maintain respectful distance and never chase or approach whales too closely. We work only with captains who prioritize ocean safety, sustainability, and education.

  • A non-refundable deposit is required to hold your place. After you register, we’ll send a detailed welcome packet with everything you need to prepare, including what to bring, travel tips, and our policies.
